Klug Law Firm (KLF) is proud to support the next generation of business leaders with the Bringing International Businesses to America Scholarship. This opportunity aims to encourage students to explore the complexities of U.S. business immigration law and the unique challenges international entrepreneurs face when establishing businesses in the U.S. Students are invited to submit their thoughts on the key steps and strategies that can ensure successful entry and growth in the competitive U.S. market.
We are excited to see creative and insightful ideas that highlight the importance of cross-border collaboration and global entrepreneurship. One winner will be awarded the scholarship, with all submissions due by July 14, 2025.
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
- Open to current high school seniors, vocational students, college students, or graduate students who are U.S. residents living in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a vocational program, or a two- or four-year post-secondary institution for the upcoming semester.
- Immediate family members of Klug Firm employees, and individuals residing in the same households (whether related or not), are not eligible.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, along with good academic standing.
Application Requirements:
- Complete the submission form below.
- Submit a 750-1,000 word essay responding to the prompt: Discuss the steps and challenges of bringing an international business to the U.S. and how U.S. immigration law plays a role.
- Essays will be checked for AI writing tools, and applications found using AI will be disqualified.
- Submit a professional resumé outlining academic and professional experience.
- Submit a transcript from your current school. First-year or transfer students may submit an unofficial transcript along with the most recent official transcript from their previous school.
- Proof of acceptance is required for high school students not yet enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
Preference will be given to students from or attending schools in New York. The scholarship recipient will be chosen the month after the deadline.
